Renée Holler was born in Würzburg in 1956. After reading Enid Blyton as a child she started dreaming of becoming an author one day. But when she grew up she first decided to study social anthropology, geography and sociology at Munich University. Later she worked in a publishing company and a book shop. Meanwhile her childhood dream has come true: she has published more than 20 books for adults and children, many of which have been translated in to foreign languages. She now lives in Oxford, England.
